Terms of use

Updated on November 5, 2026

1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the DrawThink service. They form a contract between RENDERTHINK, a French SAS registered with the Grenoble Trade and Companies Register under number 102 977 147 (“RenderThink”, “we” or “us”), and the professional using the service (the “Client”).

DrawThink lets the Client operate the kitchen design software InSitu and KitchenDraw by talking to the artificial intelligence assistant of its choice (for example Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral Vibe or Gemini), through a connector based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and a plugin installed in the software, on the Client’s PC.

The service is intended solely for professionals, such as kitchen designers and kitchen retailers, acting for the purposes of their business. It is not offered to consumers.

By creating an account or using the service, you accept these Terms without reservation, including the data processing agreement that forms part of them. You accept them at sign-up, by ticking the box provided for that purpose or, if you continue with Google or Microsoft, through the notice shown below their buttons; the date of this acceptance and the version of the Terms accepted are kept with your account. If you act on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

The subscription and its payment are governed by our terms of sale

2. Definitions

Service:
the DrawThink service, available at https://drawthink.app, comprising the website, the workspace, the Connector and the Plugin.
Client:
the professional, whether an individual or a legal entity, who subscribes to the Service for the purposes of its business.
Workspace:
the Client’s space within the Service, which holds its subscription, licences, workstations, Project Data and Library: that of a sole trader, or that of a company and its team.
Owner:
the person who took out the Workspace subscription; the Owner pays for it, manages the Workspace’s licences, team and workstations, and invites team members.
Member:
a person, such as a salesperson, invited by the Owner to a Workspace on the Business plan, with their own account.
User:
the Owner or a Member, each with their own personal account.
Workstation:
a Windows PC running InSitu or KitchenDraw and the Plugin, authorized from the workspace.
Licence:
the right of a User to use the Service, on all their Workstations, one connected at a time: one licence per User.
Plugin:
the DrawThink module installed in InSitu or KitchenDraw on the Workstation.
Connector:
the MCP endpoint through which the AI Assistant uses the Service’s tools.
AI Assistant:
the artificial intelligence assistant chosen by the User, provided by a third-party publisher (Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral AI, Google or another) under the User’s own contract with that publisher.
Design Software:
InSitu or KitchenDraw, software published by third parties, for which the Client holds its own licence.
Memory:
what the Service keeps for a User so that the AI Assistant applies it from one session to the next: their preferences, technical notes, their settings and, if they ask for it, the style learned from their past projects.
Project Data:
what the Service keeps of a project to resume work on it: rooms, technical points, request brief, ceiling and imported decor.
Library:
the 3D objects the Service has prepared for a Workspace, shared by its Users.

3. Account and team

Access to the Service requires a personal account, opened with a valid email address or by signing in with Google or Microsoft. The information provided must be accurate and kept up to date.

Each account is personal and may not be shared. Users must keep their credentials confidential; we recommend a strong, unique password and two-factor authentication. The Client is responsible for all activity carried out from the accounts of its Workspace, including by the AI Assistants its Users authorize.

On the Business plan, the Owner invites team Members by email, and each Member creates their own account. An account belongs to one Workspace only. The Owner manages the Workspace’s subscription, licences, team and workstations: the Owner sees the Members’ names and email addresses and each one’s workstations, which the Owner can rename or remove. The Owner sees neither their Memory, nor their AI Assistants, nor their support requests. A Member sees neither billing nor the other Members.

A Member who leaves the Workspace, whether on their own, removed by the Owner or on the date of a plan downgrade, immediately loses access to the Workspace and to their workstations in the Workspace; their account remains open, with their Memory. The Project Data and the Library remain with the Workspace.

4. The Service

At the User’s request, the AI Assistant uses the Service’s tools to work in the Design Software, in particular to:

  • Draw the room: walls, openings, heights, ceiling and technical points
  • Place, modify and check furniture and catalogue items
  • Price the project, based on the Design Software’s quotation
  • Produce plans, elevations and perspective views
  • Decorate the room with 3D models found on Sketchfab or 3D Warehouse, or supplied by the Client
  • Learn, if the User asks for it, their style from their past projects

The Service provides tools and a method guide; it imposes no style, placement or layout. Design choices remain those of the User and their AI Assistant. The Service keeps the Project Data, so that work resumes from one session to the next.

The Client stays in control: every action of the AI Assistant is visible in the Design Software and can be undone, the User can take back control at any time, and nothing is overwritten or deleted without the User’s consent.

We strive to keep the Service available but cannot guarantee 100% availability: maintenance or an outage of a network or third-party service may interrupt it. The Service evolves; any change that significantly reduces its use will be announced at least 30 days in advance.

5. AI Assistant

The AI Assistant is not provided by DrawThink. The User chooses it, subscribes to it and pays for it with its publisher, under that publisher’s terms and privacy policy. RenderThink is not affiliated with any of these publishers. We recommend their plans designed for professionals.

The User connects their AI Assistant to the Service through an authorization (OAuth) granted by signing in to their account, which they may revoke at any time from their workspace, at which point the AI Assistant loses access. Anything the AI Assistant does through the Service on the User’s behalf binds the User as if the User had done it personally.

What the AI Assistant reads through the Service (scene content, images, quotations, Project Data, Memory) is sent to it at the User’s request, and its publisher processes it under its own terms. RenderThink controls neither the operation nor the answers of the AI Assistant, and is not liable for its decisions or for the use its publisher makes of the data it receives.

6. Plugin and workstations

The Plugin is installed in InSitu or KitchenDraw on a Windows PC. It only runs inside the open Design Software: no program runs in the background. It updates itself to keep pace with the Service; each version is signed by RenderThink and verified before it is loaded. An outdated version may be refused, with a message explaining what to do.

A PC is authorized from the workspace by the User who works on it: their licence covers as many Workstations as they authorize, one connected at a time; opening one cuts off the one that was connected. A key specific to the workstation is created on the PC by the Plugin, and Windows keeps it without allowing it to be exported, so that it cannot be copied to another PC. A workstation can be removed at any time from the workspace: it is cut off immediately, and the licence stays with its User.

The Client holds its own valid licences for InSitu or KitchenDraw. This software and its trademarks belong to their publishers (TransTechnology and KitchenDraw); DrawThink is not affiliated with these companies and only uses the public software development kit of this software. Changes to this software may affect the operation of the Service; RenderThink will use its best efforts to adapt the Service, without being able to guarantee it.

7. Checking the documents produced

The AI Assistant can make mistakes: a dimension, a placement, a check, an item or an amount may be wrong or incomplete, even after the Service has checked the project. The catalogues, prices and quotation rules are those of the Design Software and the manufacturers, which RenderThink does not verify.

The Client remains solely responsible for the design it proposes and the documents it delivers. It must check the plans, elevations, perspective views, quotations and other documents produced with the Service before handing them to its own customer, placing an order or having anything installed, in particular against on-site measurements, technical constraints (water, electricity, gas, ventilation) and applicable rules.

A perspective view or image produced with the Service illustrates the project; it is not a commitment as to the exact appearance of the products.

8. 3D models, Library and Client files

The models the AI Assistant has prepared for the Design Software, on RenderThink’s servers, are stored in the Workspace’s Library, with their origin, author and licence. The Owner can remove any object, a Member those they prepared; a removed object is erased with its files, without changing the projects into which it has already been imported.

3D models found on Sketchfab keep their author and their licence; the Client must check and comply with them (crediting the author, whether commercial use is allowed, modifications). RenderThink is not the author of these models and gives no warranty as to their rights or content.

To download models from Sketchfab, the User connects their own Sketchfab account by pasting its key in their workspace: it is kept encrypted, never shown again, only used for the searches and downloads the User asks their AI Assistant for, and can be removed at any time. Use of Sketchfab remains subject to that service’s terms.

On 3D Warehouse, the Client downloads the models itself, under that service’s terms. The Service does not read SketchUp files (.skp): a SketchUp model must first be exported to the COLLADA format.

The Client warrants that it holds the necessary rights to the files it entrusts to the Service (3D models, images, documents) and to their use in its projects.

9. Assistant memory

So that the AI Assistant can recall the User’s preferences and ways of working from one session to the next, the Service keeps them in the User’s Memory, on RenderThink’s servers rather than on the PC. The Memory is personal: it is shared neither with the team nor with any other account. The User views it, corrects it, deletes an entry from it or resets it from their workspace.

The AI Assistant writes to it for the User; the Service refuses to let it keep a customer’s contact details, a secret, a web address or a text that presents itself as an instruction. When full, the Memory first forgets what the AI Assistant kept on its own initiative and uses least, never what the User or the RenderThink team wrote there. That team may, for support, add an entry to it or remove one, which is shown as coming from the team.

The Memory is data, never a security instruction: it does not waive any consent asked of the User or any rule of the tools.

10. Support

The User gets help from their workspace (Support page) or at contact@drawthink.app. RenderThink normally replies within 24 hours, in the workspace, and announces its reply by email if it has not been read within ten minutes.

The AI Assistant may open a request for the User, with the User’s consent, and attach a technical diagnostic of the Workstation (software, folders, decor catalogue), without any scene or data about the User’s customers.

11. Intellectual property

RenderThink and its licensors remain the sole owners of all rights in the Service: software, Plugin, Connector, tools and their descriptions, method guide, interface, databases, trademarks and documentation. RenderThink grants the Client, for the term of its subscription, a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service, within the limits of its licences and these Terms.

The Client retains all rights in its projects; RenderThink claims no rights in the plans, quotations, images and documents the Client produces with the Service. The Client grants RenderThink the right to process the content the Service reads or receives at its request, solely to provide the Service.

12. Prohibited uses

The Client and its Users must use the Service in compliance with the law and these Terms. In particular, they must not:

  • Share an account between several people, or run one licence on several Workstations at the same time
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the licences, workstation authorization, usage limits or security measures of the Service
  • Access or attempt to access another client’s data
  • Decompile the Plugin or analyse the Service to reproduce how it works, except where expressly permitted by law
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product
  • Automate calls to the Service beyond the normal use of an AI Assistant, or overload it
  • Process through the Service any unlawful content or content that infringes third-party rights

13. Liability

RenderThink provides the Service with professional care, under an obligation of means (best efforts). The Service is provided as is; RenderThink does not warrant that it meets all of the Client’s specific needs.

RenderThink is not liable for:

  • The decisions and errors of the AI Assistant, or the services of its publisher
  • The operation of the Design Software, its catalogues and its prices
  • Third-party 3D models and the files the Client entrusts to the Service
  • Documents the Client delivers without checking them
  • Failures of networks and third-party services

To the extent permitted by law, RenderThink’s total liability for all damages combined is limited to the amounts actually paid by the Client for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. RenderThink is not liable for indirect damages, such as loss of revenue, customers, data or reputation.

Neither party is liable for a failure caused by force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code; the obligations concerned are suspended for the duration of the event.

14. Personal data

RenderThink processes the data of Users’ accounts as a controller. For the data of the Client’s own customers that the Service processes at its request, including Project Data and the Library, the Client is the controller and RenderThink its processor, under the data processing agreement, which forms part of these Terms.

For details of the data processed, please read our privacy policy

Our commitments as a processor are set out in our data processing agreement

15. Term, suspension and termination

These Terms apply for as long as the account exists. Users may have their account deleted at any time by asking support from their workspace, after exporting their data if they wish; an Owner whose Workspace still has Members, pending invitations or a running subscription first settles these points. The end of the subscription is governed by the terms of sale; any data kept afterwards follows the retention periods of the privacy policy.

RenderThink may suspend an account, a workstation or an AI Assistant’s access, and cut off the InSitu commands the AI Assistant runs (menus and advanced command), for one account or for all, without notice, in the event of fraudulent or suspicious activity, a risk to the security of the Service, or at the request of a competent authority. Unless urgent or otherwise required by law, the User concerned is informed by email of the reason.

RenderThink may terminate the access of a Client in breach of these Terms after a formal notice that has remained without effect for 30 days, or immediately in the event of a serious breach (fraud, attack on the security of the Service or on other clients’ data).

16. Changes to these Terms

RenderThink may amend these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, the law or its offering; the version in force and its date are shown on the website. Any material change will be announced by email at least 30 days before it takes effect; continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance. A Client who does not accept it may cancel its subscription before that date.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of any discrepancy between translations, the French version prevails.

In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable solution for at least thirty (30) days. Failing that, the Commercial Court of Grenoble (tribunal de commerce de Grenoble) has exclusive jurisdiction, including where there are several defendants or third-party claims.

18. Contact
